If you "think you may have the flu," you don't. This is from a lay person's (nursing school drop out) point of view. The real flu is like being smacked with a baseball bat or, more crudely, a 2x4.
Actually, it seems with this particular flu currently going around, there is a wide range of how people feel. I personally was completely miserable, out of work for 2 weeks, took another two months to really feel better. But there are people testing positive for flu A (which is then assumed to be H1N1... it may or may not be) who only have a cough and sniffles, or a mild fever and cold-like symptoms. I've been noticing a really wide range with this.
