It's discouraging to hear the medical expert on NBC's Today Show indicate that this is just bringing the US to the standards of the rest of the world. Yes....lowering our standards!
I agree! It is like comparing apples and oranges -- America has different air, different water, different environment, different lifestyle -- cannot be compared with other parts of the world. I have a horrible feeling that this is an economic based decision -- perhaps trying to save money over lives by trying to force this standard for insurance purposes? At least it was denounced today by the Health comminsioner. What I do know is that this has made me angry and mystified at the stupidity of this entire group!
