Hi Ellen! I fared quite well with the Adriamycin which I had concurrently with the cytoxan. Zofran worked for me and I never got sick (vomited) just worn down and needed to chill for a few days after each round. Hope your treatment goes smoothly. They have even better anti-nausea drugs now. Ask for Emend I hear it is great!! If the adriamycin is too strong, would they consider another drug that is less toxic to the heart?? Just wondering!
I was 39 when I was diagnosed. I am (almost) ten years out now!! You can do this, and find your way back to your life after treatment!
