Dearest Sisters -
After meeting with the Vice President of Administration of Greenwich Hospital on November 11, he called me Monday. He told me the Chief Quality Officer, the Vice President of Medical Affairs, a representative of the Radiology Department, and he, himself, all want to meet with me to discuss the fact that my aggressive tumor was clearly evident on the mammogram taken there on October 15, 1996, and overlooked. (I had found it myself 4 months later... and it was malignant.) He asked me to give two dates and times within the next two weeks when I would be available, and he would have the others present. He said they are more than distressed to learn of this oversight, and I am needed to tell my story to the group! I have no idea where this is going. All I know is that the doctor who made the error is still there, and the way he covered it up is unconscionable. I wonder how he feels now knowing this has been exposed...12 years later.
