Rebound pain

I am in  a real mess.  I have stenosis of L-5  S-1  vert.  Had surgery a long time ago had a lamenectomy from S-1 to L-4.  I also have found out that my tremendous groin pain was not from my back but I have my pudendal nerve entrapped.  Pain unbearable.  Had it for over 20 years,  now worse.

Anyway I am up to taking 2-80mg oxycontins  at 4 times a day.  I made the mistake of telling my doctor that the normal (correct) way of taking meds were not working so I was breaking the 80's in half and chewing one.  I have done this for over a year and believe me I know all the lecturing people want to give me about that.  My problem is that he wants to lower my last dose only 40 mgs at a time, eventually leaving me with a 12 hour lapse of time for one dose and 6 hours for the others.  I know this won't work and what will happen----withdrawls etc.  I know each dose must be reduced equally and slowly, but he doesn't agree.  Where can I go to show him the proper way to lower.  The reason I'm lowering is because somehow I lost track of my doses and messed everything up and had to tell him what I was doing and he threw a fit.

RonChrisCase@aol.com         someone knowledageable please help!
